When earthquakes happen, they don't just alter a place- they impact families, friends, entire communities, and the devastation can be felt around the world. In response to the tragic earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24th, The Lingua Network is partnering with local shelters to collect and send relief items to victims and families in need.
This cause hits incredibly close to home. Our beloved Summer Camp Director, Profe Carli's husband is from Venezuela, and his family is enduring first hand the aftermath of this unimagineable catastrophe. Profe Carli and her family, along with countless volunteers are stepping up to help. They are preparing meals for survivors, organizing relief efforts, and even delivering toys to bring hope to the children who have lost so much. The reality is, supplies are running low, and we need your help.
There are two ways to stand with Venezuela and contribute to this cause:
1) Monetary donations made through Venmo will be used to cover the cost of shipping supplies to Venezuela. Any monetary donations in excess of shipping costs will be sent directly to relief organizations on the ground.
2) Share this post on social media or with family and friends to spread the word!
Every donation, no matter the size will bring aid and hope that the people of Venezuela deserve. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the generosity and support!
