Standing in Solidarity: Why We’re Donating 100% of Today’s Profits

At Spanish Learning Network, language learning has always been about more than grammar and vocabulary. It’s about connection, dignity, and showing up for our communities, especially when it matters most.

When I started this business 12 years ago, I wanted it to be the one I’d choose myself.. Passion over profits. People first. Those values guide every decision we make, even when it’s hard. I always encourage potential students to look into the values of the business and it's owner and how they show up in our communities. That’s why we continue to earn 100% 5-star reviews and be recognized as Denver’s # 1 language school.

Today, in solidarity with the ICE Out protest, Spanish Learning Network is donating 100% of today’s profits to the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC).

Running a small, values-driven business right now is not simple. This administration has been hard on small businesses. We’ve watched health insurance costs skyrocket while prices rise at every register, yet we remain steadfast in our own pricing to avoid losing the very clients we exist to serve. I am deeply committed to paying our teachers the highest rates possible while charging our students the lowest rates possible. That balance has earned me an honest income I am proud of, proving that t is possible to do the right thing.

In 2024, Spanish Learning Network lost over $80,000 in annual gross revenue due to cuts to education and nonprofit programs, many of them serving the very communities that most need language access to come alongside and support immigrant communities. These losses were not abstract; they directly impacted the reach and sustainability of programs built to foster inclusion and belonging.

Still, our commitment has not changed.

CIRC continues to lead critical work in advocacy, legal support, education, and community organizing across Colorado. Their efforts protect families, uplift voices, and fight for a more just and humane system. Supporting their work is not separate from our mission—it is our mission.

Language connects communities. Justice protects them. And silence is not neutral.

And bringing English classes to our programming will reach even more hearts, homes, and neighbors in our communities.

Thank you to everyone who learns with us, supports our work, and stands with immigrant communities, today and always.
